Day 193 & 194- October 26 & 27 Fair Hope, AL to Pensacola, FL

Back into Intracoastal waterways and crossing back into Florida! Back in the land of sand and sea birds!! Coast Guard too. The channel markers are bigger too. The ICW markers are back. People!  Something we haven't seen much of on the rivers. Lots of people and boats. Lots of people require lots of living quarters, in pretty colors. ... and new bridges. LuLu's Restaurant.  Judging by the crowd we saw, it must be good.  Its notoriety is enhanced because Lulu is the late, great Jimmy Buffet's sister. LuLu's looked like fun, climbing rope courses too. Sights along the way... More on this guy later in the blog. Part of the buildings on the Naval Air Station Pensacola. Day 191 -192- October 24 & 25 Tensaw River, AL to Fair Hope Marina, Fairhope, AL

  DAY 191 (cont.) October 24 I realized that most of the pictures from the 24th didn't get put in the last blog. Oops... Different trees along the shoreline. Slowly, as we made our way further South. the tree-lined shores and emptiness gave way to industrial facilities.  Still very little sign of people, like fishermen.   Still on the river so we still the bridges. Don't really know, maybe just using a pump from the truck... Making good use of those old tires. Golden colored sand? Gravel? Beaches of sand are appearing. HUGE steel plant. Closeups of the steel plant. The boys waved at me. Look lady, we can fly right in front of you and your phone's camera. More of the steel mill... Still seeing tows and changing leaves. Back into the boonies and a very peaceful anchorage at the Tensaw River.  We went slowly up the Tensaw until we saw 12 feet of water.  We dropped the hook and didn't move all night.
