Day 39- Marlboro Yacht Club, Marlboro, NY to Shady Harbor Marina, New Baltimore, NY

Continuing the journey up the Hudson today.

Nineteen women in boats.  The Marist College Women's Crew Team

I thought, "unusual bridge shape"

Oh, it is actually two bridges. The first is the Mid-Hudson Bridge.

The sailboat puts the height of this bridge into perspective. This is the
Walkway Over the Hudson, a pedestrian bridge near Poughkeepsie.

If only they delivered... Culinary Institute of American from the water.

Eastman Villa of Marist College

They make us feel small.

A real boat house.

The boat house probably belongs to the house on the hill. Notice how they clear the trees so they have a view? Lots of mowing.

A fixer upper just waiting for the right buyer. You??

We have to keep a constant lookout for these floaters.

Abandoned Hutton Brickyard steel framed kiln sheds.

Unusual rock formations.

A couple of kayakers enjoying the nice weather.

The largest concrete pumper I have ever seen and it's on a barge.
Must be used for bridge building?

This is the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, no joke!

That is one looong dock! and only one way on or off, at the far end.

Remains of the R & W Scott Ice House
amazing the things you can find on the internet.

The families are coming out to play on the long weekend.

When we arrived at Shady Harbor Marina in New Baltimore, my Rapid City, SD friends, Tracy and Richard, were waiting on the dock to help take lines, take pictures, and greet us. Thanks to Facebook, they knew we were on the Hudson River near where they had just finished biking the Erie Canal. So glad they contacted us and had time for lunch.

Tracy and Cheryl toasting our chance meeting in New York.
