Day 76- Starport Marina before Lock 45 to Midland, ON

Ya, so we fibbed just a little on the last blog, we spent the night about a quarter of a mile short of the last lock on the Trent, but we could see it!
This lock door apparently wasn't hanging in place correctly...
they added extra weights.

We had to cross part of the Georgian Bay to get to the next stop. Many rocks, big rocks in this area. This is an island. It has a home on it.

This is one BIG rock island... it has a home on it.

This is another rock island. Some guy is bragging about how he owns an island in Georgian Bay and has a home on it. Right...

The circuitous path between small, rocky islets is a foretaste of what we will
see as we go up the Georgian Bay, the land of 30,000 islands

Approaching Midland, ON, where we will spend a couple of nights doing some provisioning, projects, touring around and generally catching our breath. Midland is home to many murals. We will share those tomorrow.

It it July 1, Canada Day, similar to our July 4th. The beach was full all day with activities. This evening everyone (except Paul) returned for the fireworks display.

It is getting close to start time for the fireworks display.

I rode the bike over to enjoy this... and I did!

Back to the boat in the dark. No worries, the electric bike has lights!

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!!
