Day 128 & 129- August 22 & 23 Northport, MI to Leland, MI

Easy day, only moved 24.3 miles, but we learned that 10-15mph winds on Lake Michigan can be a rough ride.

I would not advise using these steps after drinking. The water was this incredible blue color. Lots of white sand under it.

A little color in tonight's sunset. Tomorrow we will tour Leland and Fish Town.

DAY 129
August 23

Morning walk pictures!
Lake Leelanau in the early morning.

OK, Give this a look.  Personally, I found some morbid humor in the signage.  Do you?
The signs say "PASS WITH CARE" and "ONE WAY"

I don't think this is a trailer park.

Yes, deer.

The original old Fish Town.  So glad it is kept this way.

Proof of life photo...

Watch the rapids coming out of the little dam.

There is an entire store full of things with this "tug" on them?

Now that's an anchor!

The next group of photos are taken during our walk around town. Enjoy!

For some reason I really liked this tree and all its trunks.

The further we got, the greener the lake looked. But no weeds in it.

Nice ride!!

Which way??

Um, somebody needs to bail out this dink...

One of three crappy little boats that came in from Traverse City.
For those of you who don't know boats, this and the other 2, are Hinckley Picnic Boats. A 2024 that isn't nearly this decked out goes for $1,495,000. Check it out on this listing if you don't believe me.

The lake lost it green color when you got to the large part of it. Curious?

Well groomed, friendly little town.

Pretty sunset to finish the day.
Tomorrow we move on down the coast of Lake Michigan.
